TBall and Baseball divisions use Babe Ruth League age cutoffs (4/30)
Softball divisions use USA Softball age cutoffs (9/1)

T-ball (4-6 year olds) is a team sport based on and simplifying baseball and softball. It is intended as an introduction for children to develop ball-game skills and have fun. Queensbury Youth Baseball and Softball requires that interested players have reached their 4th Birthday on May 1st of the year they intend to register for T-Ball. 4 and 5 year olds must play T-Ball 6 year olds who have completed a year of T-Ball are eligible to play Bantam baseball or softball.
Bantam Baseball (7-8 year olds) is a team sport based on expanding the basic knowledge of baseball. Coaches pitch to their own players while players learn the fundamentals of hitting and playing the different defensive positions. Bantam Baseball is open to players who are age 7 or 8 on May 1st of the year they are registering
Bantam Baseball Play Up Criteria : 6 year olds that have played T-Ball for at least one year prior to the season they are registering for.
Minor Baseball (9-10 year olds) focuses on expanding the players knowledge of baseball while introducing kids to pitching and hitting against their peers. Players are drafted on teams by league coaches based on player evaluations from the previous season. Teams then play a regular season followed by a playoff to decide who the House Minor Division Champion is. Minor Baseball is for those players that are age 9 or 10 on May 1st of the year they are registering.
Minor Baseball Play Up Criteria : 8u travel (kid pitch) players and those who have 2 years of bantam experience but are under the age of 9.
Major Baseball (11-12 year olds) introduces kids to more advanced pitching, hitting and base running than previous levels. Leading, Stealing, dropped 3rd strike, and balks are rules that players will not have to incorporate into their play. Players are drafted on teams by league coaches based on player evaluations. Teams then play a regular season followed by a playoff to decide who the House Major Division Champion is. Major Baseball is for those players that are age 11 or 12 on May 1st of the year they are registering
Major Baseball Play Up Criteria: 10u travel players and those who have 2 years of minor experience but are under the age of 10.
Bantam Softball (7-8 year olds) is a team sport based on expanding the basic knowledge of softball. Coaches pitch to their own players while players learn the fundamentals of hitting and playing the different defensive positions. Bantam Softball is open to players who are age 7 or 8 on September 1st of the year they are registering.
Bantam Softball Play Up Criteria: 6 year olds have played T-Ball for at least one year prior to the season they are registering for.

Major Softball Play Up Criteria: Players with at least 2 years of Minor Softball if they are under age 11 on September 1st.

ALL PLAY UP REQUESTS WILL BE REVIEWED AND DECIDED ON BY THE QYBS BOARD.
